The Aesir were a group of gods who lived in Asgard. The primary antagonist of Twilight of the Gods, Thor, was a member. The Aesir appeared in all episodes of the series except "Heretic Spear," though Odin's voice could be heard in the episode.
The Aesir soldiers, Bolverkrs, valkyries, and einherjar all work under or among the Aesir gods.

Thor attacks the giants.
When Thor Odinson needed to find the traitor, Loki Laufeyson, he tracked him down to Jötunheim. He crashed the wedding of Sigrid and Leif with his brother Baldr by his side and approached King Glaumar for answers. Glaumar had none, which Thor didn't accept, resulting in a battle between the giants of the Open Hand and Thor. Thor wiped out their village, leaving Sigrid and Leif for dead.[1]
