Sandraudiga the Dread was the Goddess of Tracks Grim Crimson, the forced march home from defeat. She appeared to Thor after he lost his first battle and he was forced to flee from the Vanir after trespassing on their land. Sandraudiga was portrayed by Jessica Henwick in three episodes of Twilight of the Gods.
Biography[]

Sandraudiga approaches Thor.
When Thor lost his first battle, forced to retreat from Vanaheim due to the treaty between the Aesir and Vanir, Sandraudiga introduced herself to him. She walked with the bested and broken, and so it was Thor's turn to make her acquaintance. She asked him what she could offer him and he asked her to weep.[1]

Sandraudiga offers Sigrid the white shield.
At the close of the first battle of Sigrid's war between the Aesir and Vanir, Sandraudiga walked the battlefield to inform the warriors that the battle was over and invite the valkyries to claim their prize.[2] The next day would see the end of the war, so she was summoned by Thor to offer Sigrid the white shield of surrender. Sigrid rejected the shield, insisting that she would continue to fight even against all odds.[3]

In "Song of Sigrid," Sandraudiga offers Sigrid a white shield. If she were to show it to Thor, it would represent her surrender. Instead, Sigrid smears blood on it and shows Thor a red shield. In Viking culture, the Vikings would carry red shields to signify their intentions for battle or white shields to show they came in peace.
