Dwarves[]
Dwarves were the race of which Andvari was a member.
Jötun[]
Jötun, more commonly known by man as giants, raised Sigrid, who was half-giant, herself.
Gods[]
Gods were powerful beings who could only be killed by special weapons. They were comprised of two notable groups, those being the Aesir and the Vanir. They were often the embodiments of natural phenomena, in charge of maintaining the balance of the world such as affecting the weather for crops, caring for mortals, or even killing monsters.
Humans[]
Humans were a dominant species of the mortal world.
Valkyries[]
Valkyries were a humanoid, winged race. It was said that when they descended on a battlefield, the battle would end and the valkyries would choose who would survive and who would not.

Dragons[]
Dragons were large, winged creatures. The only known dragon was Fafnir, who was a dragon only in form. He was a dwarf who was transformed into a dragon. Dragons were accepted to exist by some, so it's possible there were true dragons in the world.
