Plot[]

Traveling to Jötunheim.
Returning from a fishing trip, Leif joined his fiance, Sigrid, and showed her the home he had partially built for them. She lamented that he would never see her home of Jötunheim, and he quickly agreed to journey to her homeland the next day to wed her alongside her family. They traveled from Völsung land and arrived in the domain of the Open Hand, where Sigrid was happily met by her family. King Glaumar was slow to warm to Leif, but they came to respect one another and feasted.

Sigrid and Leif's wedding.
The wedding was later held in Jötunheim but was interrupted just before it could conclude by Thor Odinson. Thor was looking for Loki Laufeyson, who was hiding among the Open Hand, and demanded his surrender. Glaumar offered to speak with Thor elsewhere, but the conversation became heated. It came to blows and Thor wiped out the village. Only Sigrid and Leif survived, left for dead on their wedding night. Before they could fully process what had transpired, the hands of the dead reached out from the ground and pulled Sigrid down into a pool of blood.
